So the 2nd PHP Barcelona Conference was finally celebrated last Saturday, and we may say with a huge success! We (the organisers) have to admit we are exultant with the results and truly thankful to the speakers, the attendees, sponsors and the quality of the venue and professionalism of its staff (Citilab).
We knew we had gathered some of the best PHP speakers around Europe, and so we were confident about the quality and interest of the sessions. We were not let down at all, and everyone did their best to engage the attendees and keep the interest at all times. So big thanks to Marcus Bointon, Jordi Roura, Arno Schneider, Jens Bierkandt, Zoë Slattery, Pau Garcia-Milà, Scott MacVicar, Helgi Þormar and Derick Rethans, they performed fantastically!
The attendees were of a high level also; they participated at every talk and made a lot of insightful questions. This was our first international conference, also our 100% English event, and we now can recognise we were worried about the assistance and implication of our fellow PHP programmers (we were walking unknown paths), but we were blown away by the quality of the audience. ¡Gracias!
They made possible all of this, as always. Big thanks also to Anna, our tireless partner; she was working all day on catering and supplies, with such a perfection and dedication no one would notice; but trust me, she was there all the time 🙂
Now it’s time to gather all the slides and media, and put them for you to download if so you wish. We will publish all the material over the following days, stay tuned!
Finally, some of us are attending a fellow conference this October: the International PHP Conference at Frankfurt/Mainz. Maybe we can meet there again and share some beers… See you there!
You can take a look at some photos about the event.
Also, you can watch the promotional video of the Conference.
